21st Ward Theater Company Presents 3 Short Plays September 17 and 18

The 21st Ward Theater Company is a brand new company performing plays in Gorgas Park in the Roxborough / Manayunk section of Philadelphia.

This weekend they will perform 3 short plays in Gorgas Park. Performances are Saturday, September 17th at 6pm and Sunday, September 18th at 2pm.

The Rainbow

Two strangers meet for a picnic — sans their mutual friend — using a certain book to find each other. Together, they try to figure out what might still be possible.

The Rainbow premiered at the American Globe Theatre and was later named as a finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s 2012 Heideman Award. It is anthologized in The Best American Short Plays: 2012-2013 published by Applause.

July 14- North Ridge Music School Band and the Pie Eyed Preachers

This Thursday July 14 at 7pm come see the North Ridge Music School Band and the Pie Eyed Preachers.

The North Ridge Music School provides weekly instrumental lessons for students of all ages.

The Pie Eyed Preachers are an Irish American Folk Rock Band.

Merion Concert Band June 30

The fabulous 60 piece Merion Concert Band performs 4th of July songs and show tunes in Gorgas Park on June 30. Celebrate our country and our community!

Solstice Music Festival- Saturday, June 11

Tomorrow from 12-9pm the steep hills of Roxborough come alive for the 2016 Roxborough Solstice Music Festival. This year’s event will showcase 10 musical performances, the Solstice Beer Garden, food trucks, arts and craft vendors as well as local Roxborough businesses.
