Star Wars: The Force Awakens moved to Wednesday 8/30/17 at 7:30
Movie postponed due to rain. Join us Wednesday 8/30 at 7:30 pm for a karate demonstration by Amerikick Andorra. Movie to follow.
Late Summer Events at Gorgas Park!
This Sunday, 8/27 at 1pm Rockabilly band Roney and the Eldorados will play at Gorgas Park and the Roxborough Ridge Runners car club will have their classic cars on display.
Tuesday, 8/29 at dusk, watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens under the stars at Gorgas Park
Saturday 9/2 at 5pm it’s our 20th Anniversary Celebration! Thunderbus and Beat-Tells will perform live and we will have DJ and Deke’s Bar-B-Que on site to help us celebrate.

Music and a movie Tuesday, 8/16
Thunderbus, pushing the boundaries of folk rock and bluegrass play this Tuesday before the movie at 6:45pm. The Rock Garden band will play a few songs too.
Come for the music and stay for the movie- Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Saturday July 30th 10am to 3pm Veterans Tribute featuring Merion Concert Band, Savoy Company, Great Food, Philly Phanatic and Much More. DON”T MISS IT. Honor our Hospitalized Vets who have done so much for us all. IT’S THEIR SPECIAL DAY.
Sunday July 31st 1-5pm. ELVIS Returns to Gorgas Park featuring JEFF KRICK as the Fabulous 60’s and 70’s Elvis. Plus Young Jeffrey Krick as the fabulous 50’s King of Rock. TAVERN ON RIDGE IS GRILLING Burgers and Hot Dogs in the park. Water Ice from Hog’s Island on 7700 Ridge is Scooped. Join us for a Pic-nicing. A Fun, Delicious Sunday in the Park!

Tuesday, 8/25 at dusk, watch The Empire Strikes Back! Bring your blankets and chairs, we’ll serve the popcorn. This is the last movie of the summer!
Thursday, 8/27 at 7pm, rock out to some cajun music with Zydeco-A-Go-Go, rescheduled from last week.

Creole Zydeco and Cajun 2-steps combine with funky New Orleans Rhythm & Blues and vintage Louisiana Rock & Roll into a spicy gumbo of irresistible dance music— and whether they’re playing a smalltown fair or a big outdoor festival, a performing arts center or a college dance concert, a church carnival or a swanky fundraiser gala, a backyard BBQ or one of those non-stop everybody’s-up-and-dancin’ wedding receptions, you know it’s gonna be a wild & swingin’ bayou boogaloo, pitch-a-wang-dang-doodle-all-night-long ZYDECO DANCE PARTY!

Tuesday, August 18th at 6:30pm it’s the Harry Walther Band followed by The Princess Bride!
This concert is part of the Performances in Public Spaces Program.
Harry Walther is a Singer Songwriter from the Philadelphia area that has been bringing his version of heart felt songs of life and love for the last 15 years. Performing live shows has become a passion for Harry and his fans appreciate that. Whether it is solo, acoustic “unplugged” combo or full out band, the live shows never fail to rock the house down. The Harry Walther Band has been a staple at World Cafe Live lately. HWB is an energetic and entertaining R&R band with deep country roots in the Philly music scene going back to the ’60′s, ’70′s and ’80′s. Just released new single, “Western Gate” is making waves in the Americana charts.
On Thursday, August 20th, Zydeco A-go-go plays at 7pm!
